뉴욕시는 관광객 유치를 위해 코로나 백신을 여행객에도 무료접종할것이라고 알렸다. 7일 더 블라지오 뉴욕 시장은 이번 주말부터 1회만 맞아도 되는 존슨앤존슨 백신을 뉴욕시민 이외에 뉴욕을 방문한 관광객들에게 접종할것이라고 발표했다.시 당국은 센트럴 파크 타임스퀘어 하이라인 브루클린 브릿지 같은 관광명소에서 모바일 접종소를 운영할 예정이다. 시장은 주지사와 협력해 도시 거주민이 아닌 외부인에 대한 예방접종규칙을 일부 수정할것이라고 알렸다. 한면 맨하탄의지역의 감염율은 4일연속 0%대를 유지하는 등 뉴욕주 전역에서 1% 이하에 가까운 확진율을 나타냈다.
